Noof Noof, Trow Wow

I just saw a huge banner ad that read, "IT TAKES TWO HOURS TO POISON A DOG, but only one minute to save his life." IT TAKES TWO HOURS TO POISON A DOG. What does this mean?

I think you misread the banner. What it said was, "IT TAKES TWO HOURIS TO POISON A DOG...." Illustrating this will give you a chance to practice drawing harem pants on women possessing "intense whiteness of the eyeballs and lustrous black of the pupils."* How can you resist?

*So saith The Oracle at Wikipedia.

The unattributed "it" in "it takes two hours to poison a dog" probably refer to the venomous four-toed sloth of Tierra del Fuego. A deliberate beast, but deadly.

Nice sleuthing, boys! Richard, I happen to possess both of those eyeball qualities, so I need only find another woman like myself and The Dog will soon be dead. Sean, tell that sloth that I am on it.

This causes me concern that the United States is falling behind in the essential dog-poisioning technologies. Have other nations already prepared for the day when the U.N. is absorbed into PETA and their traditional dog-dispatching ways are ruled unsuitable and illegal? Will China be destroying a dog by poision every thirty minutes while we in the U.S. are still poking along killing one every two hours? I feel fortunate that this issue has arisen prior to the November elections. It is up to us to go forth and get as many of ourselves as possible on the evening news doing some hard questioning about the various candidates' positions on dog poisioning. We owe it to the children.

They're probably 'way ahead of us at spelling stuff, too, but at 3:00 in the morning my National Spelling Bee training gets a little fuzzy. Apologies. For everthing.
